StyleFilters™ Let You Create Music in Imogen Heap’s Signature Sound
Los Angeles, CA (April 25, 2025) — Jen, the next generation AI music creation platform that is reshaping how music is made and monetized, launches a new product on 24 April called StyleFilter™, a patented AI technology that lets you make your own music in the style of your favorite artists and producers—who in turn are compensated for their signature sound, unlocking a new revenue stream for artists.
StyleFilter™ learns the unique elements of a specific licensed song—think its vibe, feel, instrument textures, song structure—and infuses them into your prompted tracks created on Jen aka ”jenerations.” Debuting with multi-GRAMMY® Award-winning artist and producer Imogen Heap, Jen now allows you to create your own tracks that ethically carry the essence of Imogen, while making something totally new—with and for you.
This groundbreaking product innovation marks a historic first for AI music licensing and artist compensation: Imogen Heap has licensed five tracks to become StyleFilters™—her Billboard Hot 100 hit Headlock, fan favorites Goodnight and Go and Just for Now, cinematic standout Last Night of an Empire, and her latest single What Have You Done to Me. Unlike traditional AI models that learned from scraped or unauthorized music data, each StyleFilter™ is trained individually on 100% fully-licensed music, within a framework intentionally designed to benefit the creators behind the original works from the start.
How it works: Each StyleFilter™ is now available for purchase at $4.99 (or $7.99 for high-strength), and can be applied to up to 90 minutes of “jenerations,” or tracks generated on Jen. Tracks created with StyleFilters™ are fully owned by the user—ready to be used, released, and shared across any project—but not to train other AI models. A dynamic lineup of new artist StyleFilters™ will hit Jen’s marketplace in the coming months—following in the footsteps of music’s ultimate innovator, Imogen Heap.
This licensing framework sets a new precedent for ethical AI training and monetization, reinforcing Jen’s mission to place artists at the heart of the next era of music creation. By prioritizing transparency and compensation, Jen establishes a benchmark for compliance in AI generated music. As sampling once transformed the industry, this milestone represents the next leap forward—one that calls for a reimagined approach to monetization. Jen developed its StyleFilter™ business model through deep discussion with artists, producers, and leading music minds, guided by Jen’s trailblazing, industry-respected Co-Founders Shara Senderoff and Mike Caren. The new framework Jen has developed ensures creators remain the cornerstone of music’s evolving future.
When an artist licenses their song, the StyleFilter™ is trained solely on that individual track — it doesn’t mix with or alter Jen’s foundational base model whatsoever. It generates a standalone StyleFilter™ that the artist can keep live for as long as they wish, take down at any time, or activate for limited releases, surprise drops, and more — offering complete creative control and flexibility.
“We’re not here to force old models onto new technology,” says Mike Caren, Co-Founder of Jen and influential music executive behind hundreds of global hits. “Most artists, producers, songwriters, and even rightsholders agree—the current rights system is antiquated. Think of StyleFilters™ like an app for music creators. You’re not licensing a song—so much as you’re launching a product. You become software. And like app developers, you get a 70/30 split in your favor. This isn’t about chasing ‘fractions of a penny’ on publishing from every generated track with the hope that it adds up, it’s about scaling your sound and building new income streams that grow while you sleep. Consumers can purchase your vibe at scale. If you want to be a traditional songwriter, producer or artist, do that. Even use a StyleFilter™. But if you want to build a business on top of that in the digital age—this is the new way.”
In an effort to future-proof StyleFilterTM even further, Imogen has granted permission for her tracks to be utilized by Jen through Auracles, the data platform she founded. Auracles empowers artists with full control over their data and assets, providing Jen with the rich metadata needed to train each StyleFilter™ with precision and integrity. It also ensures musicians retain the rights to anything they make available with integrated services, giving Auracle holders ongoing control as technologies evolve.
“Imogen has always been a visionary, musically and technologically,” says Shara Senderoff, Co-Founder & CEO of Jen. “This isn’t just a product launch—it’s a precedent. While most are focused on raising objections about AI’s implications, only a small few are putting pen to paper to architect a framework that sets out to serve everyone. Imogen and I spent countless hours together unpacking the nuance, responsibility, and opportunity of this moment. This framework wasn’t built on lines of code, but on the lines we refused to cross. I’m proud of the work behind the work—the intention and integrity that brought us here. And I’m deeply honored to debut StyleFilter™ with someone who hasn’t waited for the future—she’s defined it.”
A pioneer in both music and tech, Imogen Heap’s work has long challenged the status quo—from blockchain-based rights management to wearable performance tools. This collaboration brings her artistry into the heart of next-gen creation—turning her signature sonic fingerprint into a live, licensed instrument available to creators.
“StyleFilter™ almost decodes the DNA of my music, so others can tap into its essence instantly, with permissions built in through Auracles. This is an ethical, elegant new way for musicians to share their sound.” Imogen Heap explains, “I’ve benefited greatly and enjoyed it so much over the decades when others collaborate with my music in new and unexpected ways. I’m excited to help shape the dance between technology and trust with Jen as we explore fairer paths forward for music makers at large. Huge respect to Shara Senderoff for going the extra mile to do this the right way, where most are definitely not.”
Imogen Heap StyleFilters™ are available now via the marketplace on Jen’s platform to make your own tracks in Imogen’s Signature Sound.
