Colorful Dandiya Night Lights Up IMS Noida

Noida. The vibrant Dandiya Festival was celebrated with traditional colors and music at IMS Noida, Sector–62. On this festive occasion, students presented captivating Garba and Dandiya Raas performances. The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and an aarti dedicated to Goddess Durga. Students, dressed in traditional attire, performed colorful dances that filled the campus with festive energy. The three-day event will continue on campus from Wednesday to Friday.

Inaugurating the festival, Professor (Dr.) Vikas Dhawan, Director General of IMS Noida, extended his warm Navratri greetings and said that the institute aims to connect students not only with education but also with the rich cultural heritage of India. He added that such cultural celebrations strengthen social and cultural bonds among students while nurturing team spirit and leadership skills. The event, he said, symbolizes harmony, unity, and the victory of good over evil.

Mr. Chirag Gupta, Vice President of IMS, stated that the festival of Navratri reflects India’s deep cultural traditions and provides an opportunity for everyone to come together. Encouraging the students, he emphasized that cultural festivals are not only a source of joy but also a way to stay rooted in heritage and to promote the message of unity in diversity.

IMS Cultural Club Head Ms. Meetu Chaudhary shared that the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, staff, and students. Throughout the evening, students entertained the audience with soulful songs, lively music, and energetic dance performances. The Dandiya festival, set to popular film tunes, captivated the audience, while the Dandiya competition saw students performing with great zeal and excitement. Members of the IMS Theatre Club also presented a special act depicting the divine significance of the nine forms of Goddess Durga, leaving the audience spellbound.
