Kolkata, June 29: Aakash Aath, one of Bengal’s renowned General Entertainment Channels (GEC), will soon launch Nader Nimai, a new devotional mega serial which brings alive on screen the pious journey, teachings and spiritual awakening of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1486-1534), a Hindu saint, mystic, and religious reformer. The show will portray Shri Chaitanya Prabhu’s preachings of love, devotion, equality and humanity that continues to inspire millions across generations.
The mega serial features actors Ranit Basu, Arian Pratim Maity and Safalya Debnath as Nimai. The ensemble cast also includes Bodhisattwa Majumdar as Advaita Acharya, Adrian Sarkar and Sourit Banerjee as Vishwarup, Soumi Banerjee as Sachi Mata, Arindam Chatterjee as Jagannath, Abhis

Set in fifteenth-century Nabadwip, a renowned centre of learning, Nader Nimai traces the transformation of the bubbly and playful Nimai Pandit into the revered Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. The serial explores his family life, spiritual awakening, struggles, sacrifices and his relentless pursuit of the divine truth, while also depicting the social, cultural and historical landscape of Bengal in the 16th century.
Directed by Sushanta Basu, the research and story of Nader Nimai have been written by Geeta Biswas, screenplay by Writam Ghoshal and Sayan Chowdhury and dialogues are penned by Sayan Chowdhury and Anjan Chakraborty.
Aakash Aath will premiere Nader Nimai on 29th June, 2026. Catch it every Monday to Saturday at 7:00 PM.
