Aug 14: With the Playground Season 5 house gearing up for yet another elimination, the stakes were higher than ever as players found themselves fighting to stay off the hitlist. As the game entered another crucial phase, the Q-Bit introduced a new power that added another layer to the elimination race.
Following the KO Krakens’ victory in the URL task, the Q-Bit handed Captain Vansh Khandeka aka Bacchi, an upgraded power, giving him the authority to put players on the hitlist. However, the power came with a catch, if Vansh chose a player from his own team to be on the hitlist, their team would receive 500K rumbles for each player, leaving him with the difficult choice of prioritising his team or playing for the points.
As Vansh considered his options, fellow team player Vikaash Yadav tried to convince Vansh not to put his name on the hitlist, but Vansh chose otherwise. With tensions between the two already simmering following an earlier rift, Vansh questioned Vikaash about his behaviour, leading to a heated verbal spat between the two. As Vansh continued to instigate him, the confrontation escalated when Vansh said to Vikaash, “haath utha”, to which Vikaash responded, “yahaan khada hai na, bahar mil”. The argument soon turned physical, leaving the housemates shocked as tensions boiled over.
As the confrontation intensified, players made attempts to intervene and diffuse the situation, but neither Vansh nor Vikaash was willing to back down. With the heated exchange eventually cooling down, Vansh was still left with a decision to make. Finding another reason to put Vikaash on the hitlist he ultimately made his decision and added Vikaash Yadav and Simar Sethi. By choosing two players from his own team, the KO Krakens, Vansh ensured that his team would receive the additional rumbles attached to the power, doubling the stakes of his decision.
With another elimination now on the horizon and the hitlist taking shape, the question remains — who will manage to save themselves, and who will have to bid goodbye to the Playground Season 5 house?
The gaming reality show continues to raise the stakes as three mentor-led teams battle it out for the ultimate title. Team KO Krakens led by Elvish Yadav, the Raging Centaurs mentored by Tejasswi Prakash, with Aarush Bhola leading the Power Phoenixes. The KO Krakens include Simar Sethi, Vikaash Yadav, Khushboo Unnani and Riya Kumari, Ridey Behl and Vansh Khandeka as the captain for the week; the Raging Centaurs with Srishti Parashar, Rhea Saxena and Navdeesh Arora, Ronak Raja and Himaanshika as their captain; while the Power Phoenixes comprise Madhuja Ghoshal, Mannat Kulharia, Rahul Gussain, Chakshdeep Singh, Simran Behl and Prateik Jain as the captain for the week.
