India, Sep 18: India’s rapidly rising five-piece Gen Z pop boyband OutStation officially releases their highly anticipated new single, ‘Kuch To Hai Yahan’. Released via global hitmaker Savan Kotecha’s Visva Records, the track is now available on all major streaming platforms.
The cinematic track captures the delicate, whimsical confusion of unspoken romance, exploring the thin line between whether a feeling exists or doesn’t, while ultimately carrying a powerful message of hope. Melodically rich and laced with wistfulness and adventure, the track is accompanied by a visually stunning music video that masterfully blends escapism with vast, atmospheric space.
For the band and their rapidly growing, fiercely loyal fanbase affectionately dubbed ‘Passengers’, the single holds an incredibly deep emotional weight. ‘Kuch To Hai Yahan’ is the very first song the five members worked on upon arriving in Mumbai after being brought together through a nationwide talent hunt.
OutStation state,
“Kuch To Hai Yahan is incredibly special to us because it’s the very first track we ever created together when we moved into Mumbai. It started with just that first chorus melody that someone started humming and then over more than a year we kept tinkering with it, changing bits here and there until we finally arrived at this version we’re so happy with. We’ve been playing snippets of this project on our 10-city tour and seeing the Passengers connect with our journey has been surreal. This song is a piece of our brotherhood and we’re so excited to finally give it to the world. It’s a bit more experimental than what we’ve done before and we hope our fans love it as much as we do.”
Mentored by Kotecha, the mastermind songwriter behind definitive pop hits for One Direction, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift, OutStation comprising of Bhuvan Shetty, Hemang Singh, Mashaal Shaikh, Kurien Sebastian and Shayan Pattem has spent the last year skyrocketing through the Indian independent music scene. Boasting over 860K monthly listeners on Spotify, 274K Instagram followers, and 95K YouTube subscribers, the group has become a touring powerhouse. They recently wrapped a triumphant 10-city tour previewing their upcoming EP, Homecoming, following viral moments that include debuting their previous single ‘Kho Sa Gaya Hoon’ on India’s Got Latent and pulling off a massive, sold-out Friendship Day headline show in Mumbai.
