Mumbai, 23 September 2026: Prime Video, India’s largest streaming service for exclusive Originals, has released its latest MX Original, Waiting Hai, a quirky scam dramedy that turns the familiar frustration of railway ticket bookings into an unpredictable cat-and-mouse chase. A Jio Studios presentation and Jar Pictures Production, the series is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker and Series Director Sameer Vidwans and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Ajay Rai. Waiting Hai stars Divyenndu and Bhuvan Arora in the lead, along with a stellar cast including Harshita Gaur, Kumud Mishra, Vijay Maurya, Srushti Tare and Sunita Rajwar in pivotal roles.
Waiting Hai follows Railway Constable Sugam Mishra, played by Divyenndu, who begins investigating a suspicious ticketing racket after noticing that tickets are being confirmed almost instantly while regular passengers remain waitlisted. As Sugam gets closer to uncovering the truth, his wife Princy, played by Harshita Gaur, encourages him to dig deeper, becoming an important part of his journey as the investigation unfolds.
Speaking about her character Princy and the qualities she relates to, Harshita Gaur shared, “I don’t think I have any quality of Princy. She is a little contrary to her name. She could be a princess, and she does want to be treated like one, but not in a very apparent way. There is a sweetness and simplicity to her, but at the same time, she knows how to hold her power. I think she is very patient and someone who would devote her life to another person. The one quality I would probably relate to is the emotional strength that she has. I think Princy is very emotionally strong and in the most feminine way.”
Reflecting on her experience of working with Divyenndu, Harshita added, “It’s always fabulous to work with Divyenndu. This was the first project where we were working together as a pair, and the ease we had while doing all our scenes is something that will probably stay with me. I also remember this one conversation we had off-camera… I’ve always told Divyenndu how much I liked the quote he had in his Instagram bio: ‘Pain is temporary, film is forever.’ I think that will probably stay with me.”
Blending humour, chaos and suspense, Waiting Hai brings technology, jugaad and shuddh desi ingenuity into a scam born from one of India’s most familiar everyday struggles.
