Oct 06: PVR INOX Limited is set for another week of varied cinematic offerings, bringing together international cinema, regional storytelling, genre-driven entertainment and music-focused content across its cinemas.

The upcoming line-up follows a strong previous week that featured a diverse mix of titles and encouraging audience response. This week’s releases continue that variety with films spanning drama, thriller, horror, comedy and documentary genres.

The Social Reckoning

Written and directed by Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin, The Social Reckoning is a companion piece to the 2010 film The Social Network. The film is based on events behind The Wall Street Journal’s Facebook Files exposé and is inspired by the story of Frances Haugen, a young Facebook engineer who exposed closely guarded information about the platform.
Mikey Madison stars as Frances Haugen, alongside Jeremy Allen White as Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz. Jeremy Strong plays Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, with Bill Burr, Betty Gilpin and Wunmi Mosaku also part of the cast. The film is backed by Sony Pictures.
Other Mommy

Directed by Rob Savage and produced by James Wan under the Atomic Monster and Blumhouse banners, Other Mommy is based on Josh Malerman’s novel Incidents Around the House, with a screenplay by Nathan Elston.
The film follows eight-year-old Bela, whose family life is affected by her parents’ troubled marriage. When a sinister presence emerges from her closet, Bela calls the entity “Other Mommy.” As the presence becomes increasingly aggressive, Bela and her family face growing danger.
Oscar winner Jessica Chastain plays a dual role as Bela’s mother and the entity. The cast also includes Jay Duplass, Arabella Olivia Clark, Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed and Karen Allen. The film is released by Universal Pictures.
Beware Boiúna

Directed by Mike P. Nelson, Beware Boiúna is an Amazon-set creature feature centred on a team of young doctors undertaking a humanitarian medical mission along Brazil’s Curuçá River.
Their arrival awakens the Boiúna, a colossal ancient predator that threatens both land and water. The creature is drawn from Brazilian folklore and is also known as the Cobra Grande.
The film stars Kiana Madeira, Jessica Rothe and Logan Marshall-Green. The screenplay is by Alan McElroy, based on a story by McElroy and Tony Giglio. The film premiered at Fantastic Fest 2026 and is released by Lionsgate.
Afratafri

Directed by Dinesh Kamble, Afratafri is a Marathi comedy built around a series of chaotic and humorous situations. The film features an ensemble cast led by Pravin Tarde, Bharat Jadhav and Upendra Limaye.
The story brings together a series of unexpected situations and twists, offering a light-hearted comic experience. The film adds a distinctly Marathi offering to the week’s theatrical line-up.
Linkin Park: Unshatter

Directed by Linkin Park member Joe Hahn and Mark Ritchie, Linkin Park: Unshatter follows the band’s journey of rebuilding and reinventing itself after the death of frontman Chester Bennington in 2017.
Following a seven-year hiatus, the band’s surviving members returned to music, eventually welcoming Emily Armstrong as vocalist and Colin Brittain as drummer. The documentary traces this journey from studio sessions in 2022 through the release of the From Zero album and the band’s concert in São Paulo.
Featuring archival footage, behind-the-scenes moments, live performances and conversations with the band and fans, the documentary explores Linkin Park’s music, legacy, grief and creative reinvention. It features Emily Armstrong, Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell and Colin Brittain, alongside archival footage of Chester Bennington and Rob Bourdon.
