The National Report of the Russian Federation within the framework of the Convention on Nuclear Safety has been prepared

Moscow10th July 2025 – The preparation of the tenth National of the report of the Russian Federation (ND RF) on the fulfillment of obligations arising from the Convention on Nuclear Safety.

The document was signed by the General Director of the state corporation Rosatom by Alexey Likhachev and the head of Rostekhnadzor Alexander Trembitsky.

The report contains material on the implementation of the obligations arising from the Convention on Nuclear Safety and covers the reporting period is from July 2022 to June 2025. It reflects information about financial and human resources, human factors, emergency preparedness, quality assurance, radiation protection, radioactive waste management and spent nuclear fuel, the operation of nuclear power plants, and others. The report also analyzes changes in Russian legislation during the reporting period and regulation of the use of nuclear energy. The document was prepared by the state corporation Rosatom together with Rostekhnadzor with the active participation of specialized industry organizations (SEC NRS, Rosenergoatom Concern JSC, VNIIAES JSC, SGChE JSC, Proryv JSC and others).

Versions of the document in Russian and English languages will be transmitted to the IAEA and posted on the Convention’s secure website later than 1 September, where they will be available to the parties to the Convention on the nuclear safety. The Russian side will also hold a scientific and technical national reports of other countries and prepare responses to possible counter questions, if any.

10th National Report of the Russian Federation, along with the national reports of other countries, will be presented in April 2026 at IAEA headquarters (Vienna, Austria), at the X Meeting of the Contracting Parties Parties to the Convention on Nuclear Safety.
