Celebrating India’s Makers: Flipkart’s Samarth ‘Crafted by Bharat’ sale to showcase 1.4 lakh unique products marking the 79th Independence Day
Bengaluru,August 13, 2025: Flipkart, India’s homegrown e-commerce marketplace, today announced the tenth edition of its flagship sale event, ‘Crafted by Bharat’, a Flipkart Samarth initiative to be held on August 15, 2025, marking India’s 79th Independence Day. This bi-annual sale event shines a spotlight on India’s deep-rooted cultural heritage, showcasing artisanal products created by weavers, artisans and entrepreneurs from across the country. This year’s edition will feature over 1.4 lakh unique handcrafted products from more than 2,200 artisans, including traditional art forms such as Warli, Patachitra, Madhubani, Pichwai, terracotta, and various regional wooden crafts and paintings.
The dedicated event will also feature collections from state-run handicraft bodies, SHGs, NGOs, and regional businesses from across India. Their offerings span diverse product categories including furniture, furnishings, home décor, kitchenware, apparel, and more. A dedicated storefront will celebrate contributions by women entrepreneurs from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities such as Bhadohi, Hathras, Hisar, Madurai, Chirakoot, Kannauj, Ramanagra, Ghazipur, Ujjain, Churu, Ratangarh. With the addition of 100+ new sellers this year, customers will discover an even more diverse and culturally significant range of handcrafted products, while also supporting the livelihoods of artisans from across India. Aligned with Flipkart’s ongoing commitment to empower MSMEs and underserved communities, the initiative will offer pan-India reach, optimized pricing strategies, promotional support, and dedicated Key Account Manager assistance, enabling sellers to scale sustainably and connect with a wider customer base. Flipkart’s sustained efforts towards capacity-building and discoverability aim to ensure equitable representation for indigenous and local enterprises on a national platform.

Flipkart Samarth, launched in 2019, is a nationwide initiative that aims to open new growth opportunities for MSMEs, artisans, and underserved communities through e-commerce, supporting over 1.8 million livelihoods.
