Sujay Reu Talks About the Powerful Lord Ram and Sons Reunion in Sony SAB’s Shrimad Ramayan

Sujay Reu Discusses the Intensity of Lord Ram's Meeting with His Sons in Shrimad Ramayan on Sony SABMumbai, October 18th, 2024: Sony SAB’s Shrimad Ramayan continues to captivate audiences with its powerful narration of the legendary epic, with Sujay Reu essaying the role of Lord Ram. In the recent episodes, Lord Ram and Sita’s (Prachi Bansal) sons Luv (Shourya Mandoriya) and Kush (Atharva Sharma) defeat the demon Markasur, impressing Sita’s father King Janak (Jiten Lalwani), who happens to be in the forest where Sita resides along with her kids.

In upcoming episodes, King Janak, pondering the exceptional talents of the boys he met at the ashram, arranges an archery competition in Mithila. As Luv and Kush prepare to participate in the competition, Lord Ram preparing for the Ashvamedh Yagna, heads to Mithila to invite King Janak for the Yagna. While Luv and Kush, who have heard the legend of Lord Ram, see him from afar, it would be interesting to see if the father-son finally meet.

Will Lord Ram and Luv-Kush finally meet or will this be a hit-and-miss?

Sujay Reu, who plays the role of Ram in Shrimad Ramayan, said, “What makes this part of the story so special is that we get to see a side of Lord Ram that’s rarely explored — not just as a leader or warrior, but as a father, even though he doesn’t know it yet. At this point, Lord Ram has no idea that Luv and Kush are his sons. He only sees them as two exceptional young archers, and he’s curious about who they are and where they’ve come from. There’s a mix of emotions — admiration, curiosity, and perhaps a deeper, unspoken connection he can’t yet explain. As an actor, it’s exciting to bring out that emotional depth in Lord Ram, as he unknowingly stands on the edge of a life-changing discovery. The journey ahead promises to reveal so much more about his character, not just as a hero, but as a father.”
