This weekend, get ready for a soul-stirring musical evening on Sony Entertainment Television as its homegrown format, Superstar Singer 3, brings viewers a special episode titled ‘Ghazal Night’. As a part of the episode, the talented young contestants will showcase their singing prowess as they pay tribute to the ghazal samrat, ‘Pankaj Udhas’. Making the episode even more memorable will be the ghazal ustads, Anup Jalota and Talat Aziz, who will not only enjoy the magical singing of these small dynamites but will also share anecdotes about their experiences of working with Pankaj Udhas.
But it was 7-year-old Avirbhav S and 8-year-old Pihu Sharma’s magical performance of the song “Chitthi Aayi Hai” from the movie “Naam” that not only got a standing ovation but also left Super Judge Neha Kakkar emotional.
Giving a tight hug to the duo, Super Judge Neha Kakkar shared, “I really don’t like getting emotional. But these children made me emotional with their performance. It felt like two divine beings were singing. I couldn’t believe it. Look at their innocence, it’s so pure. And that final aalap was just outstanding. It’s the result of their hard work and their dedication. Your voice brings such peace, I could listen to you both for a lifetime. I will buy tickets and watch your shows. So, please hold concerts soon and make us proud. You two are such rockstars. God bless you.”
Talat Aziz also complimented them, saying, “Seven-year-old children can’t even identify notes properly, and yet, these kids were singing so beautifully. Mashallah, both Anup and I were stunned. Truly, Pankaj ji would have deeply been moved to listen to you both. I just want to say a few lines for you, ‘Jeete raho, gaate raho, aur aisa hungama karte raho.’”
To watch these magical moments, tune into Superstar Singer 3 every Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM only on Sony Entertainment Television!
