Zee Bangla Launches New Mega Serial, ‘Dadamoni’

Kolkata, 3rd July 2025: Zee Bangla, one of Bengal’s most loved entertainment channels, known for emotionally rich storytelling, is proud to present its latest prime-time fiction Dadamoni, an inspiring journey of sibling love, resilience, and societal change. Produced by Nini Chini’s Mamma’s Production, this new drama premieres on 7th July, 2025, Monday at 8.30 pm, only on Zee Bangla.

Set in rural Bengal, Dadamoni follows the life of Shom, a devoted brother who steps up as the only caretaker for his four sisters after their mother abandons the family and their father descends into alcoholism. For Shom, their happiness becomes his mission, and he believes arranging their marriages is the only way to secure their future. But each sister has dreams that don’t fit inside the walls of tradition. Shom’s journey, from a conventional protector to an empathetic supporter, is one marked by emotional and cultural upheaval, guided by the influence of Parvati, his childhood friend, now a compassionate and forward-thinking doctor.

The story celebrates the profound emotional journey of a brother whose life revolves around his sisters. His sacrifices are not just actions, they are expressions of unconditional love. Shom, played by Pratik Sen, is a man of few words but with immense responsibilities. His worldview begins to change when he connects with Parvati played by Anushka Chakraborty, a woman who honours tradition while advocating for progressive choices. The four sisters are central to the narrative: Ratna, the eldest, serves as the family’s quiet pillar, helping her brother. A school teacher by profession. Ratna dreams of opening her own school one day, where she can spread the light of education to those who have been left behind. Reshmi –The second sister, a food lover who is always seen munching on something. She’s determined to improve her English and keeps trying to speak it—whether anyone understands or not, she never hesitates to keep trying. Rani – The third sister and the “home minister” of the household. From managing the kitchen to keeping track of every penny, she keeps a watchful eye on everything. A strong pillar of the family, for whom her brother and sisters mean the world.

Rimli –The youngest of the siblings and the apple of her brother’s eye. Endlessly pampered by her beloved “dadamoni” (brother), every moment of her life is filled with prayers and love just for him.

Dadamoni is more than just a family drama—it is a heartfelt tribute to unconditional love, quiet resilience, and the dreams that women dare to chase in a world that doesn’t always make space for them. At Zee Bangla, we remain committed to telling stories that reflect the evolving fabric of Bengal. Dadamoni beautifully captures the complexities of modern family life, where age-old values meet individual ambition, and where love often means letting go, supporting, and standing beside.,” said Mr Samrat GhoshChief Cluster Officer – East, North & Premium Cluster, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.
