Kolkata , May 29 : Narula Institute of Technology, a JIS Group Educational Initiative, hosted its flagship Tech-Management Fest, KRITANJ 2026, transforming the campus into a vibrant confluence of innovation, creativity, technology, and youthful brilliance. The fest was further graced by distinguished Guests of Honour including Mr. Bipul De, Assistant Director, MSME-Development Institute, Kolkata, and Mr. Arjun Dutta, Founder & Product Architect, IQApex Labs.
With participation from more than 5000 students representing numerous engineering colleges across the region, the two-day fest emerged as a thriving platform where ideas evolved into impactful innovations. Through over 50 engaging events, students showcased remarkable talent, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving abilities across multiple technical and management domains.
Participants demonstrated their technical expertise and creative excellence through a diverse range of competitions and activities including Robotics, Coding, Gaming, Elektron, The Electric League, MechTech, Civil Creations, Apt-Venture, Management Events, Fun Events, IDEA STORM 2026 (Project Exhibition), and several On-Spot Games.
One of the key highlights of KRITANJ 2026 was IDEA STORM 2026 the flagship project exhibition of the fest which celebrated innovation and technological excellence among aspiring engineers. The event witnessed participation from 34 teams representing prestigious institutions including Jadavpur University, University of Calcutta, IIT Bhubaneswar, Heritage Institute of Technology, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, JIS College of Engineering, and JIS School of Polytechnic, alongside Narula Institute of Technology.
A total of 34 projects were showcased during the exhibition, comprising 18 software-based projects, 13 integrated hardware-software solutions, and 3 hardware-based innovations. The projects addressed real-world challenges through emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Smart Systems, and Sustainable Computing.
Following evaluation by eminent academicians and industry experts, Vision X Edge from Narula Institute of Technology secured the 1st position, THE VISIONARIES from Narula Institute of Technology achieved the 2nd position, while Antarez from Jadavpur University earned the 3rd position at IDEA STORM 2026.
