Sun Neo | Aarti Birajdar on Women Who Go the Extra Mile for Their Families: It takes courage to step out, challenge people’s expectations and…

Aarti says,

“Playing Vaidehi in Thodi Si Umeed Thoda Sa Aasman has made me realise how far a person can go when they have a dream they refuse to give up on. In the show, Vaidehi has to arrange ₹25,000 in just two days to continue her education. Along with doing other jobs, she also drives an auto because she knows how important her education is for her future. For me, this journey is not just about a girl trying to arrange money; it is about her determination to stand on her own feet. Sometimes, life puts us in situations where we have to step out of our comfort zone and do things we never imagined. But when your dreams are bigger than your difficulties, you find the courage to keep going. I feel Vaidehi’s journey shows that no honest work is small when you are working towards something meaningful.”
She further adds,
“When I think about Vaidehi, I also think about so many women in real life who work tirelessly every day to support their families. There are women who drive autos, work in different jobs, run small businesses and take up multiple responsibilities just to make sure their children get a good education and their families have a better future. Many of them may not receive recognition for what they do, but their efforts deserve so much respect. It takes courage to step out, challenge people’s expectations and do whatever it takes to fulfil your responsibilities. I truly admire these women because they are not just earning a living; they are creating opportunities for the next generation. Their stories remind us that strength is not always about doing something extraordinary. Sometimes, it is about waking up every day, facing your struggles and continuing to work towards a better tomorrow. I hope Vaidehi’s story connects with these women and makes them feel that their hard work, dreams and sacrifices matter.”
