Kolkata , June 17 : The British Council, the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, presents A Conversation with Environmental and Wildlife Filmmaker Ashwika Kapur. Organised in partnership with the Indo-British Scholars’ Association, in the spirit of World Environment Day and marking the centenary celebrations of Sir David Attenborough, the event will offer audiences an opportunity to explore wildlife storytelling, conservation filmmaking, and the role of visual narratives in inspiring greater awareness and appreciation of the natural world.
A multi-award–winning natural history filmmaker and presenter based between the UK and India, Kapur is known for her work on acclaimed natural history productions and impactful conservation films. During the session, she will share insights from the wildlife filmmaking industry, experiences from the field, and reflections on documenting some of the world’s most extraordinary natural landscapes and ecosystems.
Kapur will also offer a personal perspective on being on shoot with one of the world’s most celebrated broadcasters and natural historians, Sir David Attenborough, while reflecting on his lasting impact on conservation and public understanding of the natural world.
