Aug 31: Hungama OTT, one of India’s digital entertainment platforms, has returned with the fourth season of its popular series Hasratein, following the immense success of its previous three seasons. Continuing its exploration of the bold, intimate, and often unspoken aspects of women’s desires and lives, the new season brings six stories of women navigating love, relationships, societal pressures, and the courage to reclaim their lives on their own terms.

In the second episode, Jhatpat Aarti, Meera Deosthale plays Aarti, a small-time cook who is judged for her dreams and her worth but refuses to let societal expectations define her future. As she fights for her ambition and self-respect, Aarti’s journey becomes a story of resilience, courage and self-belief. The episode also features Zaan Khan in a pivotal role, adding further depth to the narrative.
Talking about her role and her connection with Aarti, Meera shares,
“Playing Aarti in the web series ‘Jhatpat Aarti’ was really fun. Aarti is great at cooking and makes cooking videos, and I also love cooking in my real life. It helps me relax and feel better, so whenever I get free time, I cook a lot at home. Even on set, I tried making snacks during the shoot. Once, I made besan ka chilla and my co-actors and director loved it.”
Talking about the message she hopes audiences take away from the episode, she adds,
“‘Jhatpat Aarti’ tells every woman not to give up. Fight your problems, move forward, and keep working towards your dreams. One day, your dreams will come true.”
Hasratein Season 4 is currently streaming on Hungama OTT, with two new episodes releasing every week. The first two episodes, Chhoo Kar Mere Mann Ko and Finding Voice, premiered on August 25, followed by Makaan Maalik and Jhatpat Aarti on September 3, and Runaway Mother and You Are Pretty on September 8. With six women, six stories, and one unshakable desire to live and love on their own terms, Hasratein Season 4 takes viewers deeper into stories of desire, resilience, and self-discovery.
