Chennai, July 24: On the occasion of Vijay Antony’s birthday, ZEE5 Tamil has announced that his heartwarming family entertainer Nooru Saami will make its OTT premiere on the platform this August. The official streaming date will be revealed soon.
The announcement comes at an exciting time for ZEE5 Tamil, as the recently premiered Parimala & Co. has emerged as a favourite among family audiences. Starring Jayaram and Urvashi, the much-awaited entertainer exceeded expectations with its quirky humour and relatable characters. Inspired by true events, Nooru Saami revolves around a widowed mother who has spent years putting her son and family ahead of herself. In her mid-40s, when she finally considers getting married again and finding companionship, her decision faces resistance from relatives, villagers and a society that believes a mother’s life should always revolve around her family.
At the heart of the story is the beautiful and deeply moving relationship between a mother and her son. Much like the acclaimed mother-son relationships portrayed in Vijay Antony’s earlier films, this movie highlights the countless sacrifices a mother makes throughout her life.
