New Delhi, Oct 08: The trailer launch of Prime Video’s The Revolutionaries was conceptualised and executed by The Pittch at Delhi’s historic Sunder Nursery. Guests experienced the world of the series through an immersive, period-inspired setting rather than a conventional screening.
The venue was designed to recreate the atmosphere of an India on the brink of rebellion. Period-inspired details, immersive pre-function experiences, revolutionary messages and interactive touchpoints transported guests into the British-era world of the series.
The evening brought together Shilangi Mukherji, Director & Head of SVOD Business, Prime Video India; Creator and Director Nikkhil Advani; Producer Madhu Bhojwani; and Author Sanjeev Sanyal. They spoke about the story, its inspiration and the making of the series, followed by the trailer reveal.
Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada made a dramatic hydraulic entry onto the stage as the four Revolutionaries: Rash Behari Bose, Sachindra Nath Sanyal, Pratibha Lahiri and Bagha Jatin.
“When we received the brief for The Revolutionaries, we wanted audiences to do more than watch the trailer. We wanted them to step into the world, experience it and feel it. Sunder Nursery gave us the perfect canvas to recreate an India on the brink of rebellion, and every detail, from the period-inspired design to the interactive touchpoints, was built to transport guests into another time. It was a privilege to partner with Prime Video on its biggest title of the year,” said Sonny Sharma, Co-Founder & Director, The Pittch.
The programme was built around audience participation, with a customised entrance gate, thematic stage décor, periphery branding, bespoke Revolutionaries-themed fan collaterals, interactive engagement pods, Morse-code challenges, history quizzes, fan messages, a surprise dance performance, cast Q&As and fan photo moments. Bhuvan, Rohit and Gurfateh also stepped off stage into the crowd to meet fans, interact with them and sign autographs. The evening closed with T-shirts fired into the audience through T-shirt cannons.
The series was also taken to the media across Mumbai and Delhi. Over three days, the cast and creators took part in interviews with more than 60 publications, discussing the young revolutionaries, the world of the series and its making.
