Khyaal Run Sees Strong Turnout in Delhi, Bringing Seniors and Families Together to Celebrate Active Ageing

New Delhi, April 23: Khyaal, India’s leading agetech platform for senior citizens, successfully hosted the Khyaal Run in Delhi, bringing together over 1,200 participants across age groups in a vibrant celebration of fitness, connection, and active ageing.

The event witnessed strong participation from individuals aged 50 and above, with the oldest participants aged 73, highlighting the growing momentum around healthy and active lifestyles among seniors.

Strong Performances Across Age Groups

Participants competed in 3K, 5K, and 10K categories, delivering impressive performances across age segments. Among standout runners, Dhanraj Meena secured first place in the 10KM (50–60 years) category, while Subash Yadav topped the 10KM (60–70 years) segment.

In the 5KM category, Sheel Aggarwal led the 70+ age group. Among women participants, Bimla Banwala and Pushpa Tyagi delivered strong performances in their respective categories, while Sukhdarshan Kaur Gill stood out in the 70+ segment.

Inspiring Participation from Senior Runners

The event was marked by inspiring participation from senior runners including Dileep Prabhakar Sule, Jagdish Chander, and Davinder Barara, all aged 73. Their presence underscored the spirit of resilience, inclusivity, and the belief that age is no barrier to leading an active life.

From first-time runners in their 60s and 70s to younger participants running alongside their parents, the Khyaal Run fostered a strong sense of intergenerational bonding and community engagement.

Building a Movement Around Active Ageing

Hemanshu Jain, Founder & CEO of Khyaal, said the event’s success reflects a growing shift in how ageing is perceived. He highlighted the enthusiasm of participants and the shared spirit of fitness, support, and camaraderie that defined the run.

Collaborative Community Effort

The event was organised in collaboration with running communities such as Dwarka Xpress Runners and executed with the support of Dare2Gear, ensuring a seamless race-day experience. It was powered by Surya.

Participants received official run T-shirts, finisher medals, digital certificates, and on-ground support. Additionally, participants aged 50 and above were given complimentary nominations for the Khyaal 50Above50 initiative, recognising inspiring individuals across fields.

Looking Ahead

With its successful debut in Delhi, the Khyaal Run aims to expand into a series of community-driven fitness initiatives across cities, encouraging active lifestyles among seniors while strengthening family and community bonds.
