The Scindia School Celebrates 77th Republic Day with Patriotic Fervour

The Scindia School marked the 77th Republic Day with great pride and patriotic spirit as the Tricolour was unfurled on campus, setting the tone for a memorable morning of reflection and celebration.

Adding warmth to the crisp winter morning, the distinguished Old Boys of the Batch of 1976 enthusiastically participated in the march past, proudly walking alongside the contingents of the school’s various houses. Their presence infused the celebrations with nostalgia, energy, and a strong sense of camaraderie.

The Principal, Mr Ajay Singh, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Prof Vivek Sarkar, an alumnus of the Batch of 1976 and Dean of Computing at Georgia Tech. In his address, Prof Sarkar reflected on the significance of Republic Day as a celebration of the core values enshrined in the Indian Constitution, including peaceful coexistence, integrity, loyalty, and patriotism. His thoughtful words resonated deeply with the gathering, evoking fond memories of his time at the school and underscoring the importance of making the right choices in life.

The programme continued with the planting of saplings at Astachal, reinforcing the school’s commitment to sustainability. This was followed by inspiring readings and a soulful bhajan, bringing the celebrations to a serene and reflective close.

The morning concluded with a warm breakfast hosted on the lawns of the Principal’s residence. On this special occasion, the Old Boys of the Batch of 1976 were felicitated with mementoes, making the Republic Day celebrations both meaningful and memorable for the entire Scindia School community.
