Apr 24: Everpure Chairman and CEO Charles Giancarlo has issued an open letter addressing the ongoing global supply chain disruption impacting the technology sector, highlighting the unprecedented surge in semiconductor demand driven by rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence.
The company noted that input costs for key semiconductor components such as CPUs, DRAM, and flash storage have risen between 300% and 900% since mid-2025, leading to an overall increase of approximately 70% in product pricing since the start of 2026. This marks one of the sharpest cost escalations in the history of the technology industry.
According to Everpure, the disruption is expected to persist longer than previous supply chain crises due to two primary factors: a shift in chip manufacturing capacity toward higher-margin AI-related components, and the long timelines and high costs required to build new semiconductor fabrication facilities.
The company emphasized that even businesses not directly investing in AI are being impacted by rising technology costs, as demand continues to outpace global chip supply.
In response, Everpure has adopted a strategy focused on transparency and shared responsibility. The company has implemented phased price increases while maintaining shorter quote validity periods due to rapidly changing component costs. Notably, Everpure stated it is absorbing part of the cost pressures rather than fully passing them on to customers, operating at the lower end of its historical margin range.
The letter also outlined key operational advantages, including simplified product design, integrated hardware-software engineering, advanced data compression, and proprietary technologies such as DirectFlash, which help mitigate cost impacts and improve efficiency.
Everpure reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers, emphasizing transparency, consistency, and long-term trust during the ongoing crisis.
With India witnessing accelerated adoption of AI and digital infrastructure, the developments highlighted by Everpure provide critical insight into the cost and supply challenges enterprises may face in the near future.
